About the event

Join us for dinner on Saturday, September 7th at The Barn at Lone Oaks Farm. Under the guidance of Chef Aaron Holt, we will be showcasing some amazing up-and-coming young chefs from the Des Moines area. Chef MacKenzie Schultz from Harbinger, Chef Nicolas Paxton from Basic Bird, Chef Jordan Foster from the Hyperion Field club, along with Chef Aaron Holt will each create their own course. These dinners hold a special place in our hearts and we love giving these talented chefs a place to shine! You are welcome to bring your own beverages - suggested wine pairings coming soon. We'd love to have you at our table.

The Menu

First course: Chef Aaron Holt of Catering by Doolittle Farm - garden veggie tart / homemade puff pastry / local mushrooms / Iowa goat cheese / local honey / prosciutto dust / edible flowers 

Second course: Chef Nicolas Paxton of Basic Bird - lavendar scented pasta / Iowa sweet corn / tofu miso sauce / coconut / cold fried garlic / herb oil / husk powder 

Main: Chef Jordan Foster of the Hyperion Field Club - Iowa beef tenderloin / corn puree / vegetable medley / demi-glace / crispy shallots 

Dessert: Chef Mackenzie Schultz of Harbinger - gooey butter cake / masala chai spiced pears / salted vanilla ice cream
